Data Product Manager
$93.5k - $120kAon Risk Services Inc
Join Aon Affinity as a Data Product Manager and help shape the future of data, analytics, AI, and decision-making across the business! This role can be based virtually or in a hybrid office setting, depending on location and business needs, offering flexibility aligned with Aon's Smart Working policy.
Aon is in the business of better decisions
At Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world.
As an organization, we are united through trust as one engaged team, and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.
What the day will look like
As the Enterprise Data Product Manager, you will lead the vision, strategy, and roadmap for enterprise data products that enable growth, operational excellence, customer experiences, analytics, automation, and AI-powered decision-making across Aon Affinity. You will serve as the key link between business stakeholders, Product Domains, Data Analysts, Product Analysts, and Data Engineering teams, ensuring data is managed as a strategic business capability.
Key responsibilities include:
Defining and managing enterprise data product roadmaps, priorities, and investment decisions aligned to business goals and domain strategies.
Partnering with leaders across Growth & Distribution, Payments, Servicing, Claims, and other business areas to identify data opportunities, business requirements, and measurable outcomes.
Translating business needs into scalable, reusable data products including curated datasets, data services, APIs, semantic models, reporting foundations, and AI-ready data assets.
Providing day-to-day direction, prioritization, and coaching to Data Analysts and Product Analysts while connecting discovery, analytics, and engineering delivery through a shared roadmap.
Collaborating closely with Data Engineering, Architecture, Security, and Technology teams to deliver secure, governed, and scalable data solutions.
Driving data quality, governance, metadata, lineage, privacy, and stewardship practices that build trusted enterprise data assets.
Enabling analytics, business intelligence, machine learning, generative AI, and intelligent automation through strong data foundations.
Measuring adoption, business outcomes, utilization, and return on investment while continuously improving enterprise data products and capabilities.
How this opportunity is different
This is a highly visible role that will help define how Aon Affinity leverages data as a strategic competitive advantage. Rather than supporting a single function, you'll work across multiple product domains, business leaders, analysts, and engineering teams to create enterprise-scale capabilities that drive measurable business value.
You will have the opportunity to influence data strategy, shape future AI-enabled capabilities, and establish reusable data products that support growth, customer experiences, operational excellence, and innovation. You'll join a collaborative environment where product thinking, analytics, and technology come together to solve complex business challenges and deliver meaningful outcomes across the organization.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
5+ years of experience in Product Management, Data Product Management, Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Strategy, or a related discipline, with demonstrated ownership of products, platforms, or business capabilities throughout their lifecycle.
Strong experience translating business problems into product requirements, roadmaps, priorities, and measurable outcomes while working within Agile or product-led environments.
Working knowledge of modern data ecosystems, enterprise data concepts, analytics platforms, data products, APIs, semantic models, SQL, and Python (or similar analytical programming languages).
Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, influence stakeholders, facilitate discovery sessions, and provide direction and coaching to analysts and business contributors.
Experience supporting data governance, data quality, analytics, AI/ML initiatives, or enterprise data capabilities, preferably within insurance, financial services, brokerage, or other regulated industries.
Education
