Golf Retail Assistant

Streamsong Golf Resort, 1000 Streamsong Drive, Streamsong, FL 33834, USA The Retail Assistant is responsible for the daily management of the retail operation and works closely with the golf and caddy services operation. Responsibilities include tagging, displaying, and selling merchandise to all guests of the resort, maintaining a clean shop, managing inventory, and assisting guests with tee‑time and caddy changes through radio, phone, or email. Other duties involve handling cash and credit transactions, issuing gift cards and rain checks, printing no‑show emails, and providing general customer service with a friendly, professional attitude. Essential Functions Be knowledgeable of all merchandise stocked in the golf shop, sell merchandise, and provide suggestions to meet guest needs. Assist in packing, unpacking, and displaying inventory, and perform physical inventory at month end per procedures. Check guests in for tee times and facilitate any changes, communicating via radio, email, or phone to the golf and caddy services operation. Schedule tee times and handle customer inquiries and complaints according to operating policies. Issue rain checks, gift cards, and rental clubs, becoming fluent in associated transactions. Learn and comply with rental club procedures and policies. Become familiar with Yellow Dog Inventory Control System and Agylysis POS system. Send no‑show emails to Resort Services at the completion of every close shift. Collect cash, maintain a personal cash bank, and issue receipts for all sales, fees, and rentals. Answer phones with a pleasant, professional manner and take messages for guests on the course. Interact with guests in a congenial manner, providing information on tournaments, events, and resort policies. Monitor the daily Scoop Sheet and Resumes and assist with tournaments, group outings, and special events. Knowledge and Skills Experience: One year in a golf shop and/or customer service/retail sales environment preferred; one year of employment in a similar position is also preferred. Skills and Abilities Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to analyze and solve problems, handling multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision. Proficient with computers, software, cash registers, and other technical equipment. Flexible to work required hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Positive attitude, professional manner, and appearance in all situations. Education College education or equivalent experience preferred.
