Registered Nurse – CCU (Cardiac Care Unit, ICU)

Job Description: ARMStaffing is hiring skilled Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) Registered Nurses (RNs) for travel and local contract opportunities across the U.S. As a specialized ICU nurse, you'll provide critical care to post-operative cardiac patients recovering from procedures such as bypass surgery, valve repair, or heart transplants.

Key Duties:

• Deliver advanced nursing care to critically ill cardiac patients in a high-acuity ICU setting
• Monitor cardiac status, vital signs, and EKGs; respond to arrhythmias and emergencies
• Administer medications, titrate drips (vasopressors, inotropes), and manage ventilators
• Collaborate with cardiologists and surgical teams to ensure optimal recovery outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using hospital EMR systems
• Educate patients and families on cardiac procedures, recovery expectations, and care plans

Requirements:

• Active RN license in the state of practice or compact license
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent ICU experience, with at least 1 year in a cardiac ICU or CCU
• BLS and ACLS certification required (CCRNs preferred)
• Strong knowledge of post-op cardiac protocols, hemodynamic monitoring, and telemetry
• Experience with critical care equipment (e.g., Swan-Ganz, balloon pump, CVP lines)
• Familiarity with Epic, Cerner, or similar EMR systems preferred
