Here you'll be challenged on a daily basis, tasked with solving problems, working with smart, energetic, and dedicated people with an opportunity to grow and learn.The Environmental, Health, and Safety coordinator is responsible for developing and maintaining an effective environmental, health, and safety (EHS) processes through risk reduction strategies and management system implementation.Job Requirements:Conduct new hire safety orientation trainingsAssist Supervisors with accident investigation and reportingCoordinate with outside vendors and suppliers for safety trainings, purchases/testing.Perform facility safety inspections and incident & injury investigations.Improve EHS workplace performance by promoting an incident-free work place, identifying and mitigating EHS riskMaintain injury recordsDevelop employee training schedulesResearch and Purchase safety personal protective equipment when necessary.Participate in meetings as appropriate for the departmentCreate safety graph and chart reports using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint presentation development.Other tasks as assignedSkill Requirements:Required background in Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety, preferably from a heavy manufacturing industrial environment.Familiar with general industry Cal/OSHA regulations, primarily related to Machine Guarding, Lockout Tag Out, Confined Space, Respiratory Protection, Personal Protective Equipment, Industrial Hygiene, Elevated Work Space and NFPA 70E Arc Flash Safety.Intermediate computer skills are requiredProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteCommunication skills, verbal and writtenInterpersonal skillsOrganizational, problem-solving, and analytical skillsCommitment to excellence and high standardsSound judgment with the ability to make timely, and sometimes difficult, decisionsProven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlinesAble to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environmentVersatile, flexible, and a willingness to work within constantly changing prioritiesWhy work for APP?Medical, Dental, Vision – Generous company contribution, low cost to employeeLife insurance – 100% company paid - covers employee, spouse and dependent childrenGenerous Vacation Time9 Paid HolidaysHoliday Shut Down (Christmas thru New Year's)Sick TimeAnnual Bonus (based on company meeting Key Results)401k (Company matches up to 4%)ESOP Employee Profit Sharing Retirement Plan (100% Company Paid)Tuition reimbursementCompensation: $20.50 - $28.31 an hour.
