Registered Nurse

Medical Surgical nursing position available on night shift. The position offers options for 36 or 48 hours per week. Travel experience is required for this role. The nurse will be responsible for managing a patient ratio of up to 6 patients. Floating to other medical/surgical or telemetry units may be required based on facility needs. The unit typically accommodates adult and geriatric patients. Common diagnoses include a wide range of general medical/surgical conditions. Involvement in minor procedures may be part of the role. Special procedures on unit may include post-cath and post-angiogram care. The unit operates with interdisciplinary support from various teams, including physical therapy and respiratory services. Knowledge of specific skills such as IV insulin protocols and management of dysrhythmias is essential. Previous charge experience is preferred but not mandatory. The nurse will be required to administer medications, care for surgical drains, and manage IV infusions. No insulin drips are administered; however, heparin drips may be required. A Bladder Scanner and plum integrated smart IV pump are among the specialized equipment in use.
