Your Opportunity as the Manager, EnablementThe Manager, Enablement serves as a strategic enablement partner to Sales and Marketing leaders, managing a team responsible for filtering, prioritizing, and translating key business needs into communication, change management, business process, and training solutions. This role owns intake, prioritization, resource allocation, and governance for enablement work across Sales and Marketing, ensuring efforts are aligned to business impact, stakeholder readiness, and team capacity. The individual partners closely with cross-functional leaders to assess change impacts, clarify process implications, define success measures, and drive adoption throughout the project lifecycle. This role also coaches and develops Enablement team members, establishes consistent ways of working, and continuously improves enablement approaches based on feedback, adoption, and business outcomes.Location: Orrville, OH (Close proximity to Cleveland/Akron) Work Arrangements: Hybrid - onsite a minimum of 9 days a month primarily during core weeks as determined by the Company; maybe more as business need requiresIn this role you will: Strategic Communication:Serve as a primary intake point for Sales and Marketing enablement needs, helping clarify the request, business objective, audience, timing, and desired outcomeOversee a portfolio of concurrent Sales and Marketing enablement initiatives, ensuring priorities, resources, risks, and stakeholder expectations are actively managedTranslate business needs into enablement plans, communication strategies, milestone-based action steps, and success measures that drive adoption and business outcomesBuild and maintain cross-functional relationships to improve alignment, decision-making, and execution across Sales, Marketing, and partner teamsInfluence senior leadership through maintaining clear & concise project status updatesSet team priorities, allocate resources, manage workload, and ensure work is aligned to business impactBusiness Process:Translate complex workflows into clear process maps, role definitions, decision rights, timelines, and repeatable operating routinesServe as a business process advisor on key initiatives, ensuring process implications are understood, documented, and built into communication, training, and change plansEstablish and maintain process governance, including ownership, escalation paths, update cadence, and expectations for sustained adoptionFacilitate working sessions with senior leaders and stakeholders to align on current-state challenges, future-state recommendations, and implementation requirementsChange Management:Advise the team on change impact across Sales and Marketing stakeholders, including implications to roles, processes, tools, routines, and decision-makingDetermine the appropriate level of change support required, ranging from light communication support to full end-to-end change strategy ownershipCoach Enablement team members on change strategy, stakeholder readiness, resistance planning, and adoption tacticsTeam Leadership:Manage day-to-day performance, workload, priorities, and development of direct reports; provide coaching, feedback, and performance input aligned to business prioritiesEstablish operating routines, expectations, and quality standards to ensure consistent delivery across the teamLead, coach, and develop a team of Enablement Leads supporting Sales, Marketing, Category & Sales Strategy & Planning priorities.Capability Development:Identify where training, tools, resources, or process guidance are needed to support adoption and long-term behavior changeEnsure learning solutions are practical, role-relevant, and aligned to Sales and Marketing ways of workingPartner with subject matter experts and outside resources as needed to deliver scalable enablement supportWhat we are looking for: Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree8+ years of experience in sales, marketing, communications, training, change management, business process, or enablement-related rolesExperience managing, coaching, or leading direct reports or project teamsExperience influencing senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholdersExperience managing multiple initiatives, priorities, and stakeholder groups simultaneouslyExperience working with cross-functional teams and external vendorsStrong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to quickly identify key messages and tailor communication to different audiencesAbility to lead work independently, make sound prioritization decisions, and advance initiatives with limited directionAbility to coach team members and stakeholders on how to analyze, synthesize, and translate business needs into clear action plansAbility to simplify complex challenges into practical plans, tools, timelines, and stakeholder-ready recommendationsAbility to manage multiple projects, balance competing priorities, and adjust plans based on business impact and capacityStrong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, including ability to collaborate across Sales, Marketing, and cross-functional teamsAbility to learn new subject areas quickly and apply sound judgment in ambiguous or evolving business situationsDemonstrated emotional intelligence, including ability to navigate resistance, build trust, and support teams through changeAdditional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role (not required): Experience leading enablement, change management, communication, training, or business process teamsProject management and/or change management certificationExperience managing budgets, vendor partnerships, or external training resourcesCPG, sales, marketing, or commercial organization experienceExperience establishing governance, intake models, or portfolio prioritization processesStrong business process mindset and experience improving ways of working across cross-functional teamsAbility to assess business requests, challenge assumptions, clarify needs, and recommend the right level of enablement supportExperience establishing process governance, including ownership, decision rights, escalation paths, operating routines, and success measuresComfort using data, stakeholder feedback, and adoption insights to measure effectiveness and refine solutionsStrong executive communication skills, including ability to create concise recommendations, updates, and decision-ready materialsExperience leading change, communication, training, or process work through others, including coaching direct reports or project contributorsProficiency with AI productivity tools, Microsoft Office applications, and collaboration platforms used to improve team effectivenessThe Right Place for YouWe are bold, kind, strive to do the right thing, we play to win, and we believe in a strong community that thrives together.
