Hospital Pharmacist

A long-term acute care hospital in Indiana is seeking a Staff Pharmacist for an immediate opening. This 8-13 week assignment is ideal for a pharmacist looking for a flexible, small-team environment with a steady daytime schedule and the opportunity to take on a well-rounded clinical and operational role.
Responsibilities:- Perform order verification and ensure accurate medication dispensing
- Complete IV compounding (non-chemotherapy) in compliance with safety standards
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff on medication therapies
- Support daily pharmacy operations in a low-volume, patient-focused setting
- Participate in on-call and weekend coverage (shared with Pharmacy Manager)
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
- Active Indiana Pharmacist License (required)
- Recent inpatient or hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- IV compounding experience required
- Ability to work independently in a small pharmacy team
- Proficiency with HCS ePharmacy and Omnicell systems preferred
- Strong clinical knowledge and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and manage workflow efficiently
- Day Shift: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Full-time hours with occasional extended shifts as needed
- On-call and weekend coverage required (rotating)
- 25 staffed beds
- Average daily census of 12 patients
- Pharmacy team includes 1 pharmacist and 1 technician
