Registered Nurse (RN) - Surgery Ambulatory

Job Summary / Purpose The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for utilizing the nursing process to provide safe, age‑appropriate, direct and indirect patient care, while practicing within the scope of practice of the Oregon State Board of Nursing. Department Description Ambulatory Surgery provides pre, intra and post‑op care to surgical and procedural sedation patients. We serve a patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatric patients and collaborate with a variety of provider specialties for patients who go home that day or are admitted to the hospital. The Surgical and Labor Care (SLCH) includes endoscopy and non‑surgical procedures completed in the SDC unit. Experience / Education / Qualifications Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required. Healthcare Provider Level BLS required upon hire. ACLS required within 90 days of hire for LCH Surgery Ambulatory. Communication: Effective written and oral communication skills to explain complex issues, exchange information between team members, and discuss issues tactfully. Compliance: Ability to evaluate information and determine compliance with laws, regulations, or standards, using knowledge and judgment to assess whether events or processes comply. Problem Solving: Ability to identify complex problems, review related information, employ creativity and alternative thinking to develop and evaluate options, and implement solutions.
