Travel Physical Therapist - $2,034 per week

Job Summary Fusion Medical Staffing is hiring a Travel Physical Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Rancho Cordova, CA. The assignment begins 07/21/2026, includes 40 hours per week and 8‑hour daytime shifts. The successful candidate will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients across various settings with a commitment to high‑quality, safe patient care. Essential Work Functions Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history to identify functional limitations and treatment need. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve patient mobility and reduce pain. Operate specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration. Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals for coordinated care. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, proper body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management. Maintain a safe treatment environment, adhering to infection control protocols and regulatory standards. Participate in quality‑assurance initiatives and professional development activities. Contribute to discharge planning for smooth transitions. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Required Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in physical therapy. Experience in physical therapy; new graduates are welcome. Additional certifications or licenses may be required. Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication. Reading, writing, and speaking proficiency in English. Ability to read and obey written and verbal instructions, with PC proficiency. Physical Abilities – able to remain stationary, move around, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, bend. Interpersonal Skills – effective collaboration with diverse personnel. Technical/Motor Skills – fine manipulation, push/pull, moving equipment during procedures. Mental Requirements – cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work independently or under limited supervision. Sensory – visual acuity and effective communication.
