Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position requiring a minimum of 2 years of OR experience, prior travel experience, and robotic and ortho/neuro surgical skills.

Details

• Hospital OR setting with a strong focus on orthopedic, oncology, bariatric, vascular, neuro, trauma, and robotic surgical cases
• 10-hour day shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM), Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday
• 4 shifts per week
• On-call required: 1 shift per week after the scheduled day (2–4 hours) and 1–2 twelve-hour weekend shifts per month
• Charting performed in Epic EMR
• Floating is required; travelers are first to float and may be assigned to sister campuses within 15–20 minutes of the primary facility

Requirements

• Active FL RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
• Robotic surgery experience required
• Orthopedic and neuro surgical experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Degree accreditation documentation required, or a minimum of 5 years of nursing experience in lieu of accreditation
• Two professional references required (one within the past year; one may be older)
• Full demographic information required for consideration: full name, address, email, full date of birth, full SSN, and RN license number
• Driver's license address must match the address on file with the Board of Nursing

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility's permanent address to be eligible; this rule is strictly enforced
• Candidates must not own or be associated with any property within the 50-mile radius
• Block scheduling requests are not accepted
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of submission and will not be approved after an offer is made
• Orientation begins on a Friday with remote orientation followed by an in-person visit to the facility for badge/ID issuance; candidates must be in the area by that Friday
• Hospital provides scrubs
• Travelers are expected to function as core staff and integrate fully into the unit culture
• Hard document deadline is the Monday prior to the contract start date; no exceptions for pending documents
