Technical Services Supervisor

Salary Range: $65,000.00 To $75,000.00 Annually Technical Services Manager (Manufacturing / Operations Support) Location: [City, State] Job Type: Full-time About the Role We are seeking a hands‑on Technical Services Manager to lead technical support, workforce training, and continuous improvement initiatives within our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for supervising technical staff, developing workforce capability, and driving operational excellence through strong leadership, problem‑solving, and process optimization. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Supervision Supervise daily activities of technical services staff, including scheduling, coaching, performance management, and training Foster a collaborative, accountable, and safety‑focused work environment Partner with production supervisors and cross‑functional teams to optimize operational performance Mentor employees on project management principles and execution Training, Development & Workforce Readiness Lead hands‑on training of machine operators on proper setup, changeovers, and best practices to ensure safe and efficient production Develop and implement structured onboarding and training programs for new hires Provide ongoing coaching to build technical capability, problem‑solving skills, and ownership of equipment performance Drive workforce development initiatives such as cross‑training, succession planning, and building bench strength Identify skill gaps and partner with leadership to implement targeted training plans Promote a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing Technical Support & Troubleshooting Serve as the escalation point for complex production and equipment issues Diagnose and resolve challenges related to equipment, processes, and materials Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and improve yield Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement Lead continuous improvement (CI) initiatives from concept through execution Apply Lean manufacturing and root‑cause analysis to improve efficiency and performance Analyze production data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions Support new product introductions (NPI), process changes, and pilot runs Quality Assurance & Compliance Ensure products meet company standards and customer specifications Partner with Quality to investigate non‑conformances and implement corrective actions Maintain compliance with food safety and packaging regulations Enforce adherence to: Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience) 5–10+ years of experience in manufacturing, technical support, or operations 2–5+ years of leadership or supervisory experience Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills in a production environment Experience with Lean manufacturing, CI, or Six Sigma preferred Knowledge of GMP and HACCP required (food/packaging environment preferred) Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership abilities 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Career growth and development opportunities Why Join Us Opportunity to lead impactful operational and workforce initiatives Collaborative, team‑oriented environment Strong focus on continuous improvement and employee development #J-18808-Ljbffr Fischer Paper Products, Inc.
