Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract

Make a meaningful difference as a travel Occupational Therapist in Tacoma, WA. We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to help patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities regain or improve daily skills in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting. This role supports a 60-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation unit treating adult and older adult patients with common diagnoses including cerebrovascular accident and other neurologic conditions.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor‘s, Master‘s, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Active Washington state occupational therapy license required to start the assignment.
Experience in inpatient rehabilitation required.
BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
Experience treating adult and older adult patient populations, including CVA/neuro experience.
Ability to manage a typical caseload of approximately 6–7 treatment sessions per 8-hour day.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience working in an acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital preferred.
Familiarity with common inpatient rehab workflows and documentation systems preferred.

Assignment Details

Shift hours typically 0800–1600 or similar (schedule generally Monday–Friday).
Schedule primarily Monday–Friday with occasional flexing to a weekend day; one weekend day per month with a compensatory day off during the week.
Average weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
Patient population: adult and older adult inpatient rehabilitation.
