Job Opportunity: Orthopedic Surgeon
Our organization is a physician-led multispecialty group with over 650 providers, currently looking for a full-time, residency-trained Orthopedic Surgeon to enhance our thriving surgical practice that extends from Nampa to Baker City.
This role demands a proactive mindset towards developing practices that cater to the healthcare needs of Eastern Oregon. Our expanding practice offers a comprehensive array of general orthopedic services, ranging from total joint replacements to assisting athletes in their recovery and return to sports. The patient remains at the heart of all our endeavors.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver a full spectrum of orthopedic services.
- Engage in practice development initiatives for the local population.
- Maintain a typical clinic schedule from Monday to Friday, ensuring a minimum of 32 patient contact hours weekly, alongside procedures, rounding, and consultations.
- 24/7 CRNA Anesthesia support.
- Collaboration with general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, gynecology, urology, and endoscopy.
- Access to hospital-based imaging services, including a 24/7 radiology department.
- In-house coverage for general radiology and CT, with after-hours call for Ultrasound and Nuclear Medicine.
- Facilities for MRI, Breast Care Center, and X-ray services.
- Support from the Saint Alphonsus network of Specialty and Primary Care clinics.
- Work within a Level 2 Trauma Hospital located in Boise, ID.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
- Successful completion of an ACGME or CanERA accredited orthopedic residency program.
- Board certification from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS) or the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery (AOBOS), or the ability to obtain certification within three years.
- Eligibility for Idaho and Oregon medical licensure and privileges at SABCH and other affiliated hospitals as required.
- Valid registration for controlled substances with the Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
- Willingness to participate in general orthopedic call duties.
This position is based in Baker City, Oregon.
