We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Press Operator to operate and monitor press machinery in a manufacturing or production environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up materials, operating press equipment, inspecting finished products, and maintaining quality and safety standards throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate press machinery to produce parts or products according to specifications.
- Load and unload materials into press equipment.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure consistent production and product quality.
- Inspect finished products for defects, accuracy, and quality standards.
- Follow work instructions, production schedules, and safety procedures.
- Make basic machine adjustments as needed and report equipment issues to supervisors.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
- Keep accurate production records and report any quality concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Meet production goals while maintaining quality standards.
Qualifications
- Previous press operator or manufacturing experience preferred but not always required.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic math skills and ability to measure parts when needed.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machine operations.
- Ability to identify defective products and report production issues.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as required.
- Commitment to workplace safety and teamwork.
Work Environment
This position is performed in a manufacturing or production facility. The operator may work with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, stamping, forming, or printing press equipment, depending on the operation. Proper personal protective equipment and adherence to safety procedures are required.
