Registered Nurse (RN) - Short-Term Contract

This is an 8-week contract position.

Day shift: 3x12.0 hours

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality patient care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN provides supervision to Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants while collaborating with the Interdisciplinary team to meet each patient's needs.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, forming the basis of an individualized care plan.
• Identify teaching needs and goals based on nursing assessments, collaborating with patients and families.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation of all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and ensure education is prioritized based on identified health care needs.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
• Communicate pertinent patient status changes to facilitate continuity of care.
• Provide direction and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Identify and promote personal and environmental safety in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Participate in unit team building activities to foster a positive work environment.
• Assume charge responsibilities after the orientation period when requested.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• BLS certification required prior to first shift
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift (specifically for CIRH only)
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience required
