Conflicts Analyst

Soni is working with a global law firm to identify a Conflicts Clearance Analyst to join the Office of General Counsel. This opportunity is well suited for professionals from Am Law, regional, or boutique law firm environments who have experience supporting new business intake, conflicts analysis, and risk management. The position plays a key role in evaluating potential conflicts related to new matters and lateral attorney hires, partnering closely with attorneys, conflicts leadership, and legal staff to ensure compliance with professional responsibility requirements. The analyst will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and helping resolve conflicts issues, including conflict waivers, engagement letter provisions, and ethical screens, in a fast-paced, deadline-driven law firm setting. Key Responsibilities: Review and assess new matter and existing matter intake requests to ensure complete and accurate conflicts submissions Analyze conflicts reports and conduct research using firm databases, public records, and other relevant resources to identify potential legal and business conflicts Prepare concise conflicts analyses and summaries for attorneys and firm leadership, outlining key issues and recommended courses of action Draft, review, and coordinate conflict waivers, engagement letter provisions, and other client consent documentation through resolution Implement and monitor ethical walls and information barriers in accordance with firm policies and professional responsibility requirements Escalate complex or high-risk conflicts matters to senior conflicts leadership and the Office of General Counsel for further review and guidance Requirements: Prior conflicts, new business intake, risk management, or professional responsibility experience within an Am Law, midsize, regional, or boutique law firm environment Experience reviewing and resolving conflicts associated with new client engagements, new matters, and lateral attorney or group hires Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to evaluate complex legal and business relationships Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present conflicts issues clearly to attorneys and firm stakeholders Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume practice environment Ability to work both independently and collaboratively while meeting strict deadlines and supporting competing business needs Working knowledge of legal ethics, conflicts rules, client intake procedures, and law firm risk management principles preferred Compensation: $95,000-115,000 Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications. #J-18808-Ljbffr Soni
