Job Description
The Construction Estimator will support residential construction and commercial building projects by developing accurate costs, analyzing bids, and preparing competitive proposals. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, this role will contribute to budget planning, change order pricing, vendor coordination, and project documentation, building initial scheduling templates, with occasional participation in client or bid presentations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates for residential construction and commercial building projects.
- Analyze bids and evaluate vendor pricing.
- Develop project budgets and pricing documentation.
- Prepare proposals for clients and bid opportunities.
- Price project change orders accurately.
- Maintain organized project documentation.
- Participate occasionally in client or bid presentations.
- Creating/Formatting client contracts
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in construction estimating.
Preferred Qualifications
- Construction cost estimating experience.
- Blueprint reading skills.
- Knowledge of construction scheduling.
- Experience with estimating software.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to create contracts.
