Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (Oncology RN or MedSurg RN) Green Bay, WI

The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse (Oncology RN or MedSurg RN) for the Medical Surgical Floor. This role supports patients with general MedSurg needs, including neutropenic precautions, oncology diagnoses, patients receiving chemotherapy, respiratory issues, pneumonia, altered mental status, and end-of-life care. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights; 12-hour shifts; minimum 36 hours per week (weekend rotation: every 3rd week; on-call: no; holiday expectations: 1 summer and 1 winter)
• Required Qualifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; EPIC experience required; minimum qualifications include General MedSurg nursing skills such as foley insertion/care, peripheral IV placement/maintenance, bladder scans, NG tube placement/maintenance, chest tubes, trachs, wound care/dressing changes, central line/PICC/midline management, and accessing ports; ability to work as an Oncology RN when applicable, including experience administering chemotherapy if the role requires oncology responsibilities
• Preferred Qualifications: Charge RN experience and taking charge duties preferred but not required
• Float: Float rotation may be required; could float within scope of practice at the hospital, with most common float areas being Obs and MedSurg 4
• Additional Information: One summer and one winter holiday expectation. Orientation includes 1 shift on the unit to learn the flow, with potential additional orientation time to observe the flow in Obs and MedSurg 4 as well. Weekend rotation is every 3rd week. Scrub color requirements: any solid color (professional; no graphics, logos, or designs).
