Trade Specialist

ServiceChannel is seeking skilled tradespeople to enhance the SC Managed program and evolve our "Facility Management as a Service" offering. Joining the SC Managed Facility Services team as a Trade SME, you will specialize in one or more trades such as HVAC/R, electrical, plumbing, or general maintenance while also taking on varied roles—from strategic planning to hands-on tasks—adapting to the team's daily needs. This role involves providing top-notch facilities support to clients in the convenience store/fuel, grocery/supermarket, restaurant, and retail sectors. We are looking for a collaborative individual who is adaptable, capable of juggling diverse responsibilities, and adept at devising innovative solutions to emerging challenges.Where you’ll make an impact:You will drive results in developing the SCM Solution by taking ownership of both provider and client success through the SCM Trade Specialist solution. Team members will leverage ServiceChannel's software tools and established process flows to provide a high level of trade repair expertise to our Managed Clients.Key Responsibilities:Review all proposals submitted within your trade expertise to ensure accuracy for our clients related to the customers repair need and adhere to proposal submission SLAsFocus on labor hours, parts, material mark-up, etc. so our goal of most transparent pricing for our clients is fulfilledStrong attention to detail in comparing the problem description vs. providers' diagnosis and recommended scope of work for repair resolution to ensure the solution fits the need.Collaborate with internal teams during RFPs to ensure all questions are answered clearly and accuratelyUse trade knowledge and background to evaluate complicated work tasks for clients with multiple locations requiring service or projectsReview all work where the scope goes beyond normal repairs or established not to exceed (NTEs) and provide timely approvalsUpdate and document work order information in a timely fashion throughout the work order’s lifecycleCollaborate with internal teams during client meetings and presentationsLearn and apply the standard operating procedures as well as identifying ways to improve themPresent the value of the trade specialist team to clients during regular business reviewsAttend client or provider meetings as needed for trade expertiseRequired Skills & Experience:5+ years of experience in HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, and general contracting/handyman services, painting, flooring, roofing for commercial spaces such as grocery stores, restaurants, and retail outlets.Preferred Skills & Experience:Proficient in building relationships with diverse teams, clients, and providers through an easygoing interpersonal approach.Prior experience or certification in plumbing and/or HVAC/R systems, particularly in a commercial or multi-site environment, is preferredExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenProven data analysis and presentation abilities for various audiences, including executive levelSolid prioritization with multitasking capabilitiesExperience or readiness to create and deliver presentations alongside Facility CoordinatorsBackground in Customer ServiceStrong attention to detailInnovative and resourceful mindset, especially in uncertain scenariosProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and SaaS platformsExperience and/or familiarity with ServiceChannelFacility Management Services or IFMTrade Certifications a plusPay Range:The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 76,700.00 - 128,100.00Why Work for Us?ServiceChannel helps many of your favorite brands manage their brick-and-mortar facilities.
