In this hands-on role, you will help produce high-quality printed materials by preparing, operating, and maintaining printing press equipment. This is a great opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and ready to build skills in a fast-paced production environment.Your ResponsibilitiesReview job orders to determine quantities to be printed, paper specifications, colors, and special printing instructions for customersRunning Canon, Xerox, and Color Stream 3900Collect and inspect random samples during print runs to identify any adjustments neededAble to identify and complete orders of all sizes and levels of importanceMultitask to run many machines at one timeComplete all paperwork necessary to follow along with the jobEnsures that the supplies are stocked; gather correct materials neededLearning about digital printing equipment and basic troubleshootingFollow quality and training expectations as stated under ISO 9001 CertificationLoad and unload paper stock and set up print filesMeet standard throughput speed and quality, which will be monitoredMaintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulationsYour Shift3rd Shift, Sunday - Thursday 10:00pm - 6:00amAbility to work extended hours and weekends based on production scheduleYou Must HaveAbility to set adjustable mechanisms to required tolerances.Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.Strong mechanical ability.Good reading ability.Requirements Within This Position3 years of digital print experience3 years running cutsheet toner and inkjet printersBasic computer skills (open, close, print a file)Team player and self-motivated mindsetHighly detail-oriented- quality focus drivenBasic measuring skills- able to read a ruler and other measurement devicesBasic problem-solving skillsAbility to read, write, and communicate clearly to ensure accuracy and understanding of job ticketAbility to occasionally lift to 40 lbs. to 50 lbs. and to stand for an entire shift (excluding breaks)We Would Also PreferAbility to work with very close tolerancesAbility to effectively communicate with team membersHigh degree of analytical skillsGood color discernmentAbout Taylor Corporation One of the largest print and communications firms in North America, Taylor's family of companies provides a diverse set of products, services and technologies that address the toughest business challenges.
