About the job
\nOur client is currently hiring an Investment Analyst / Associate for their Consumer Loans team based in New York, NY. We are seeking a highly analytical and motivated individual interested in supporting the underwriting, structuring, and monitoring of consumer whole loan investments. This role provides direct exposure to senior investment professionals and the opportunity to evaluate investments across consumer credit and structured finance.
\n \nWhat You'll Do
\n• Evaluate and underwrite new consumer whole loan investment opportunities
\n• Develop cash flow models and analyze the fundamental drivers of credit performance
\n• Evaluate unlevered and levered returns across various investment structures
\n• Analyze and optimize capital structures for potential investments
\n• Assess portfolio performance relative to original underwriting and expectations
\n• Evaluate pricing and credit risk and present investment recommendations to senior investment professionals
\n \nQualifications
\n• Undergraduate degree or higher from a strong finance and/or STEM program
\n• 1–4 years of experience in structured finance, securitization, or ABS investing with an emphasis on quantitative analysis and structuring
\n• Strong cash flow modeling and analytical skills
\n• Understanding of warehouse lending and ABS securitizations
\n• Knowledge of fixed income, credit risk, and broader financial concepts
\n• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced investment environment
