Our retail clinic in Novi, MI, is seeking an energetic, customer-focused Phlebotomist to join our growing team. This position combines strong clinical skills with excellent customer service, as you will interact directly with patients in a retail healthcare environment. The ideal candidate is comfortable performing venipuncture, following laboratory protocols, assisting customers, and maintaining a professional and welcoming environment./ph3Responsibilities/h3ulliOpen and close the facility as needed. Assist customers in person and over the phone/liliPerform venipuncture and capillary blood collection/liliCollect specimens, including blood, urine, saliva, and buccal swabs/liliPerform drug testing in accordance with DOT guidelines/liliVerify patient identification and testing requirements/liliEnter customer information into the lab ordering system/liliPrepare specimens according to partner laboratory specifications/liliLabel, package, and ship specimens to partner laboratories/liliMaintain chain-of-custody documentation for drug and DNA testing/liliProcess required laboratory paperwork and documentation/liliPrepare receipts and process payments using the point-of-sale system/liliComplete end-of-day administrative and reporting procedures/liliMaintain inventory of medical supplies and testing kits/liliAssist with corporate accounts and employer testing services/liliAssist with local marketing activities, including community events and sponsorships/liliMaintain a clean, safe, and organized facility/liliEnsure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and DOT regulations/liliPerform other duties as assigned/li/ulh3Required Qualifications/h3ulliPhlebotomy Certification/liliMinimum two years of recent experience performing venipuncture and capillary blood draws in a clinical setting on diverse populations/liliKnowledge of common laboratory blood tests/liliUnderstanding of HIPAA patient privacy requirements/liliStrong customer service and interpersonal skills/liliAbility to explain testing services to consumers and business customers/liliStrong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email/liliStrong organizational skills, including inventory tracking and record keeping/liliExcellent verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail and adherence to procedures/liliDependable, reliable, and punctual.
