Senior Food Scientist

A leading developer and manufacturer of all-natural citrus based ingredient and beverage products is seeking a beverage technical leader for their R&D team. This exciting Senior Product Scientist opportunity involves working with juice products that are not from concentrate and minimally processed to maintain the natural benefits and flavors of the fruits to meet consumer demand for healthier, authentic, and all-natural products. The Senior Product Scientist will lead and support projects involving the development and commercialization of new products and processes, as well as improvements to existing products and operational efficiency. This role partners with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to deliver safe, high-quality, cost-effective products that meet customer and consumer needs. The position requires hands-on work in laboratory, test kitchen, and food manufacturing environments, along with using information management systems to design, document, commercialize, and launch new ingredients and products. Location : On site in Florida with about 15% travel. Education and Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related discipline required. Master’s degree in Food Science preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience required in product development, working from concept to commercialization, or 3 years with an advanced degree. 3 years of experience collaborating in a food manufacturing environment, in Research and Development roles, preferably in the fruit, juice or beverage industries to commercialize products. Knowledge of developing and producing flavors, juices, concentrates, purees, and beverage bases is preferred. Juice HACCP certification, or the ability to complete certification within 90 days of employment. Knowledge of FDA, USDA and related food regulatory and labeling requirements. Experience with product testing, including physicochemical, sensory and microbiological methods. #J-18808-Ljbffr
