This position offers the opportunity to influence resident outcomes, regulatory compliance, and quality of care while working alongside a supportive interdisciplinary team.If you're looking for a leadership opportunity that combines assessment, quality improvement, and infection prevention, we'd love to meet you.What We OfferCompetitive Pay: $39.00–$42.00 per hourFlexible 3-day-per-week scheduleLeadership role with variety and autonomySupportive management teamStable work environmentOpportunity for professional growth and continuing educationBenefitsBCBS Insurance Plans401KVacationPersonal HoursPLAWA and More!Position OverviewThis position combines the responsibilities of both the MDS Nurse and Infection Preventionist, allowing you to play an essential role in resident care, quality outcomes, and regulatory compliance.Your weekly schedule will be divided between both areas of responsibility, with participation in the facility's on-call rotation.ResponsibilitiesMDS ResponsibilitiesComplete and coordinate MDS assessments in accordance with state and federal regulations.Ensure accurate coding to support reimbursement and quality measures.Develop and update resident care plans.Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure individualized resident care.Maintain accurate and timely documentation.Infection Prevention ResponsibilitiesLead the facility's Infection Prevention and Control Program.Conduct surveillance, tracking, and reporting of infections.Audit infection control practices throughout the facility.Educate staff on infection prevention standards and best practices.Monitor compliance during all shifts, including periodic off-shift observations.Ensure compliance with CDC, CMS, and IDPH infection prevention guidelines.QualificationsActive Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) License required.Previous MDS experience required.Infection Prevention experience preferred but not required.Willingness to complete the CDC Infection Preventionist Training if not already certified.Strong assessment, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.Participation in the facility's on-call rotation required.If you're an RN who enjoys leadership, quality improvement, and making a meaningful difference in long-term care, this is an excellent opportunity to expand your clinical expertise while maintaining a flexible weekday schedule.Apply in person at:Cass County Senior Living & Rehabilitation530 E.
