Join the Retail team at Desert Mountain Club, one of the largest and most prestigious private country clubs in North America! As a Golf Shop Sales Assistant, you'll play an important role in creating an exceptional shopping experience for our members and guests. This position combines luxury retail, hospitality, and golf operations, giving you the opportunity to deliver personalized service, create visually appealing merchandise displays, support inventory and retail events, and assist with daily Golf Shop operations, including checking in golfers and scheduling tee times.

What We're Looking For

• At least 1 year of retail experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A friendly, outgoing, and service-focused personality
• Ability to build relationships and deliver personalized shopping experiences
• Basic understanding of the golf industry or a willingness to learn
• A positive attitude and commitment to working as part of a collaborative team

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior supervisory experience
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree

Job Details

Essential Duties:

• Deliver exceptional service by assisting members and guests with merchandise selection and purchases.
• Create and maintain attractive, organized merchandise displays that enhance the shopping experience.
• Collaborate with Golf Shop teammates to support retail operations, merchandising, and sales goals.
• Meet or exceed retail sales and financial objectives.
• Support Golf Shop operations by answering phones, checking in golfers, and scheduling tee times.
• Create memorable shopping experiences through personalized service, including gift wrapping and other thoughtful touches.
• Process returns, exchanges, and special requests professionally and efficiently.
• Develop product knowledge to confidently recommend merchandise and maximize sales opportunities.
• Maintain member profiles to support personalized communication and service.
• Assist with inventory management, including inventory counts, physical inventories, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Support merchandise buying, special retail events, and trunk shows.
• Participate in team meetings and assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

• Required to work days, and occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Required to stand for long periods of time.
• Required to lift, push and/or pull up to 20 pounds Occasionally
