Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and organized Parts Manager to oversee our parts department supporting restaurant equipment and service operations. The ideal candidate will have minimum of 5 years of experience in managing a parts department

This position is responsible for managing parts inventory, purchasing, vendors, pricing, warranty parts, and the day-to-day operations of the parts department while ensuring technicians have the correct parts when they need them.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily operations of the parts department.

Maintain accurate inventory levels and minimize shortages and excess inventory.

Identify, source, and purchase parts for commercial restaurant equipment.

Work closely with service technicians, dispatchers, customers, and management.

Research equipment manuals, model numbers, and manufacturer part numbers.

Establish and maintain relationships with parts suppliers and manufacturers.

Obtain competitive pricing and negotiate with vendors when appropriate.

Process purchase orders, returns, credits, and warranty claims.

Track special-order and back-ordered parts.

Maintain accurate parts pricing and inventory records.

Coordinate parts availability with scheduled service calls and installations.

Identify obsolete and slow-moving inventory.

Ensure proper organization and security of the parts warehouse.

Train and supervise parts department employees as needed.

Help improve inventory controls, purchasing procedures, and department profitability.

Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in parts management.

Ability to identify parts using equipment model and serial numbers.

Experience with inventory management and purchasing.

Strong computer and organizational skills.

Excellent communication and customer-service skills.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced service environment.

Strong attention to detail and follow-through.

Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with commercial restaurant equipment, including cooking, refrigeration, ice machines, dishwashers, or foodservice equipment.

Experience working with OEM manufacturers and distributors.

Previous supervisory or management experience.

Familiarity with inventory management or ERP software.
