Local Travel X-Ray & Mammography Technologist

Local travel x-ray & mammography technologist for a 13-week contract in south of San Jose, California, delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging and supporting patient care with competitive weekly pay up to $3,000.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic radiographic and mammography examinations per physician orders and protocols
• Ensure accurate patient positioning and image acquisition while maintaining comfort and safety
• Operate and maintain radiographic and mammography imaging equipment
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and departmental procedures
• Conduct quality assurance and quality control activities to maintain imaging excellence
• Maintain compliance with Mammography Quality Standards Act regulations
• Review imaging studies for quality and completeness before submission
• Document procedures accurately within the electronic medical record system
• Educate patients about imaging procedures and address questions to alleviate concerns
• Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and healthcare team members

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology approved program
• Minimum of 2 years mammography experience
• Strong knowledge of mammography procedures, positioning techniques, and breast imaging protocols
• Ability to work independently while maintaining exceptional patient care standards
• Strong communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills
• Current California Basic Life Support (CPR-BLS) Certification
• Current California State Radiologic Technologist Certificate (CDPH RHB-CRT)
• Current California State Mammography Permit (CDPH RHB-CRT Mammography)
• Current ARRT Registration in Radiography (ARRT-R)
• Current ARRT Mammography Certification
• Fluoroscopy/X-Ray Mammography Certification
• Minimum of 8 hours of training on the mammography modality utilized by the facility prior to independent operation

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with QA, QC, and MQSA standards
• Additional imaging specialties
• CT experience
• Knowledge of breast anatomy and physiology
• Experience imaging patients with breast implants
• Experience with digital mammography systems
• Familiarity with MQSA compliance standards and documentation
• Additional advanced imaging certifications
