Acute Care Computed Tomography (CT) TechnologistThe Acute Care Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist provides healthcare services by assisting in diagnosis or treatment, performing CT procedures and related techniques to produce high-quality images for interpretation by licensed practitioners. This role encompasses operating a CT scanner to obtain diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and minimizing exposure.ResponsibilitiesPerform CT exams and procedures for diverse patient populations including NICU, CCU, and ED.Assist Radiologists and medical staff during exams and procedures.Complete documentation necessary for the interpretation, reporting, and archiving of exams.Retrieve written orders and related health information to ensure timely performance and reporting of exams.Participate in quality improvement initiatives as outlined in the strategic plan.Work independently in a fast-paced, acute care inpatient setting while training and supporting peers.Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureGraduate of Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited Radiology program or equivalent.American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) R.T.(R) and advanced registry in CT, R.T.(CT) required.American Heart Association BLS certification required.Two years of radiology experience as a registered technologist; one year of previous CT experience in a trauma center preferred.Assignment DurationThis is a 13-week contract position.ScheduleThis position requires a variable shift, including participation in call rotation as scheduled or needed.
