. This on-site, contract position offers an exciting opportunity for an Associate-level physician to deliver exceptional care to patients with gastrointestinal conditions.

As a Locum Gastroenterology physician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of digestive system disorders, performing endoscopic procedures, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with gastrointestinal disorders.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures, including endoscopies and colonoscopies.
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans based on clinical findings and best practices.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely medical records in compliance with facility policies.
• Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care.
• Provide consultations for complex gastroenterology cases and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Ensure adherence to all medical standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in on-call coverage and emergency consultations as required.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical outcome evaluations.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification or board eligibility in Gastroenterology.
• Active, unrestricted medical license to practice in the applicable jurisdiction.
• Successful completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Gastroenterology.
• Associate-level clinical experience, with a proven track record in gastroenterology practice.
• Proficiency in endoscopic procedures and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
• Strong clinical reasoning, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective patient and team interactions.
• Ability to work on-site at the designated location in Vineland for the duration of the contract.
• Commitment to delivering compassionate, evidence-based, patient-centered care.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and medical documentation standards.
• Current CPR/BLS and ACLS certification as required by the facility.

Schedule: 24-hour call shifts

Daily Volume: 12-20 patients

EMR: Epic

Board certification required
