Transportation Driver

We are hiring immediately for a full time Transportation Driver position. Location: Sault Sainte Marie Area Public Schools - 867 Marquette Avenue, Sault Sainte Marie, MI 49783. Note: online applications accepted only. Schedule: Full time schedule; Monday through Friday, hours may vary. More details upon interview. Requirement: Prior commercial driving experience is required. Perks: No weekends or holidays! Follows school year calendar! Pay Range: $19.00 per hour to $22.00 per hour. Working as a member of the transportation team, this individual will use a company-owned vehicle to deliver products or render services over an established route.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responds to transport requests with a sense of urgency, meeting time delivery goals
• Follows department protocols using dispatch system appropriately
• Provides outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations
• Completes necessary logs and reports
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment
• Resolves or reports vehicle, building, security, or safety issues to management
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Effective verbal and listening communication skills service/Quality focused to meet a wide range of needs
• Valid driver's license, ensuring safe operation of company vehicles in accordance with traffic laws and conditions

Because this position requires you to perform services in an educational facility, there may be periods when the Company does not require you to perform work (such as winter and summer breaks when food service needs decline or cease).
