US Sales & Account Manager (New Business) | Power Systems & Rail

Our client is a well-established European engineering business specializing in electrical power systems and customized solutions across rail, industrial, and marine environments.
With a strong global footprint and decades of experience, the company has built a reputation for delivering high-quality, engineered solutions to OEMs and operators.
In the US, the business is at an earlier stage of growth, with an established customer base and operational footprint already in place. This role represents an opportunity to support the expansion of the US market and build on that existing momentum.
Your new role
This is a hands-on business development role focused on driving growth across the US market. You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, building customer relationships, and supporting the expansion of the company’s presence across rail and adjacent sectors.
Working closely with international teams, you will play a key role in developing pipeline, engaging customers, and contributing directly to revenue growth.
This role is well suited to someone who enjoys new business development, customer interaction, and operating with a high degree of autonomy within a growing organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and win new business opportunities across rail, OEM, and industrial markets
- Build and manage relationships with OEMs, operators, and engineering-led customers
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities within assigned territories
- Work closely with engineering and product teams to support technical sales and solution development
- Engage in industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to drive visibility and growth
- Support the ongoing development of key accounts alongside new business activity
What you will need to succeed
- 5–12 years of experience in sales or business development within rail, engineering, or industrial environments
- Background selling into OEMs, operators, or technically focused customers , ideally within rail sub-systems, power systems, diesel engines, or industrial equipment
- Demonstrated ability to develop new business and build pipeline , alongside managing and growing existing relationships
- Comfortable operating in a hands-on, individual contributor role within a smaller or growing organisation
- Strong technical credibility , with experience engaging customers on engineered or specification-led solutions and working alongside engineering teams
- Experience within OEM, integration-led, or industrial product environments , with openness to adjacent sectors such as mobile power or equipment manufacturing
