About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room (ER) Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Active New York Single State RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS required Must-Have: - EPIC experience required - IV therapy skills including blood product administration, central line care, and starting/maintaining IVs - Emergency care skills for both adult and pediatric patients Description: The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room will work night shifts. This position requires experience in emergency care, with the ability to manage a variety of diagnoses. The nurse will be responsible for providing care to adults and geriatric patients. The patient ratio will be 1:5. Floating may be required within skill set. The facility utilizes advanced technology for rapid patient care and has specialized units. The emergency department is equipped for comprehensive emergency services. Nurse responsibilities include triaging patients, managing emergency situations, and following isolation precautions. In addition, the nurse will be expected to provide proper documentation through the EPIC charting system. The role involves collaboration with interdisciplinary support teams to ensure optimal patient care. The nurse must be available to work every other holiday and participate in weekend shifts as required.
