Job Requirements & Qualifications ### Experience Required 1. At least 1 year of experience required with specifics to Electrophysiology (EP) Lab. 2. Charge experience desirable, although not mandatory. 3. Experience with charting systems, specifically Epic, is mandatory. ### Certifications - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) ### Skills Required - Electrophysiology (EP) Lab procedures - Pacemaker/Defibrillator lead extraction/removal - Right heart catheterization - Scrub Procedures - Watchman procedure - Arrhythmia Induction - Baseline Measurements - Cardioversion and Left Atrial Appendage (LAA) Closure procedures - Tilt Table Study - Paracentesis procedure - Administration of Antiarrhythmics, Antihypertensives, Dobutamine - Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring - Use of Emergency Medications and IV vasopressors - Reversal agents and Thrombolytics administration - Assistance with Central Line Insertion/management - Blood Product Administration - Care and Maintenance of Implanted Ports and PICC Lines - Proficiency with IV infusion pumps - Starting and maintaining IVs - Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias - Infection Prevention and Isolation Precautions/PPE - Monitoring End-Tidal CO2 - Sheath Removal/Monitoring - Topical Hemostasis methods (D-Stat, Chito-Seal, Syvek Patch) - Vascular Closure Systems (Perclose, StarClose) - Management of Hypothermia protocol and Malignant Hyperthermia Protocol - Laser-assisted procedures - Radiation and Laser Safety ### Licensure Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted, pending license is not accepted. Candidates must have licenses for both Kansas and Missouri or a compact license at the time of submission. ### Additional Qualifications - Willingness to float as needed within departments, units, and facilities. - Scrub experience necessary. - Must complete all compliance and training modules, especially Epic training, before start date. - Strong infection prevention and safety protocol adherence skills are needed.
