Location: Georgetown, Washington, DC

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday (flexibility required)

Hours: 40-50 hours per week

Compensation & Benefits: $40-$50 per hour, DOE ($83,200-$104,000 annually,) plus overtime pay in accordance with applicable laws. The family offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, an HSA, 401(k) with employer match, and three weeks of paid time off.

Position Overview


A private family in Georgetown is seeking a warm, polished, and highly capable Companion/Housekeeper to join their fully staffed household. This hybrid role is ideal for a professional who enjoys providing both companionship and hands-on household support while working collaboratively within a team environment.

The Companion/Housekeeper will provide day-to-day companionship and assistance to the principal while also helping maintain the smooth operation and presentation of the residence. There is already a fully staffed home, with three housekeepers.The ideal candidate is personable, proactive, emotionally intelligent, and takes pride in creating a comfortable and well-organized home environment.
Responsibilities
Companion Duties

• Provide companionship and social engagement to the principal
• Accompany the principal on outings, appointments, errands, and activities as needed
• Assist with scheduling and coordination of appointments and personal engagements
• Offer attentive support while respecting the principal's independence and privacy
• Serve as a trusted, positive, and engaging presence in the home
• Provide occasional transportation as needed

• Perform detailed housekeeping and daily upkeep of assigned areas
• Laundry, ironing, wardrobe care, and linen management
• Maintain organization throughout the residence
• Assist with guest readiness and special events
• Work closely with other household staff to maintain exceptional standards throughout the residence

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Companion in a similar role required, with excellent verifiable references.
• Professional housekeeping experience with strong attention to detail
• Warm, engaging personality with excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Ability to anticipate needs and take initiative
• Professional demeanor with excellent discretion and confidentiality
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to work collaboratively within a fully staffed household
• Strong references from previous employers
• Authorized to work in the United States
