Sun Hospitality Resort Services is hiring a full-time, onsite Director of Housekeeping in Charleston, SC ($50,000–$52,000/year). This mid-level leader keeps rooms and public spaces consistently guest-ready while supporting a high-performing team.

Key responsibilities include leading daily housekeeping operations; setting and maintaining cleanliness standards; training, coaching, and scheduling team members; completing inspections and follow-ups; partnering with other departments to keep service running smoothly; managing supply/equipment inventory; monitoring safety practices; resolving guest concerns; and reviewing performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Required qualifications/skills:
- Housekeeping leadership experience in hotels/resorts
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and time management
- Clear communication and calm problem-solving

A Typical Shift

You’ll start by checking the day’s occupancy and priorities, then walk key areas to spot anything that could impact the guest experience. Throughout the day, you’ll stay visible—touching base with supervisors, answering quick questions, and keeping communication moving between housekeeping, front desk, and maintenance. You’ll spend time reviewing quality notes and trends, adjusting the plan as arrivals change, and making sure the team has what they need to finish strong. Expect a steady pace, plenty of problem-solving, and a clear win: seeing the property ready for every check-in.
