Jennie-O Turkey Store - 2nd Shift Line Attendant - Barron, WI

Hourly pay rate: Hire is $22.85, 6 months $23.42, 1 year $24.37

Job Responsibilities

1. Assist new employees.

2. Continue work hardening and all other training necessary to prepare the trainee for positions in fabrication.

3. Assist the supervisor in following and documenting a training program.

4. Learn to operate all machines and scales in the department.

5. Provide new employees with exemplary work behaviors including attendance, safety and personal hygiene.

6. Administer directions for the proper care and use of PPE’s.

7. Communicate to the supervisor as to the progress of the employees.

8. Perform any additional tasks or responsibilities as required.

9. Help with area coverage in the absence of the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

• Good organizational skills/ability to learn and do all jobs in the department.

• Good verbal and written communication skills/ability to speak and write English.

• Complete knowledge of machine safety procedures and operations

• Good work history/ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Ability to obtain forklift, rider jack PV3R and hand jack license.

• Basic math skills

• PHYSICAL: No restrictions lifting 50 pounds.

• No restrictions pushing 500-pound v-mags.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Experience on a department safety committee.

• Six months’ experience in the department or equivalent training.

• Basic computer skills.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and public speaking ability.
