Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time contract opportunity offers the chance to provide guidance, stability, and encouragement to learners in a self-contained classroom environment. With the caseload to be determined, flexibility and adaptability will be highly valued. The schedule features a standard 37.5-hour workweek.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification required
• Previous experience working in special education settings, particularly with SEAL or PALS programs, strongly preferred
• Must be confident and comfortable overseeing a self-contained classroom
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, students, and families
• Organization and adaptability to accommodate the needs of a variable caseload
• Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach and manage instruction for students with diverse learning needs in a self-contained classroom
• Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with school policies and state guidelines
• Collaborate with fellow educators, therapists, and support staff to promote student growth
• Monitor progress, conduct assessments, and maintain comprehensive records for all students
• Communicate regularly with families to provide updates and encourage active engagement in student development
• Adapt teaching strategies to suit the varied academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of each student
