About the Position

Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: PT Acute Care Client Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Current license in the state of Arizona required Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association) required Must-Have: - Ability to manage moderate to maximum assistance patients - Experience with co-treatments - Experience working with ventilated patients - Ability to pivot easily and pick up additional evaluations throughout the day Description: Acute Care Physical Therapist position available. The department operates seven days a week. A weekend day will be required. Candidates should be generalists who are confident with medical diagnoses. Preferred qualifications include the ability to manage moderate to maximum assistance patients. Experience with co-treatments is important. Candidates should also be comfortable working with ventilated patients. The role requires the ability to easily pivot and take on additional evaluations throughout the day. Experience with patient transport to and from treatment is preferred. Successful candidates will be expected to adhere to quality and patient safety standards established by the facility. Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. Daily census averages 11 patients. The facility is a short-term acute care setting with 87 staffed beds. The charting system used is Cerner. Candidates must be prepared to float as needed.
