Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Truck Body Salesman to join our dynamic sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth by developing relationships with commercial customers, understanding their truck body needs, and providing tailored solutions that meet their operational requirements. Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development

• Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities within assigned territory
• Build and maintain strong relationships with fleet managers, contractors, and commercial vehicle operators
• Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to understand customer requirements
• Present and demonstrate truck body solutions that align with customer operational needs
• Prepare detailed proposals, quotes, and sales presentations
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to close sales
• Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets

Customer Relationship Management

• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire sales process
• Maintain regular contact with existing customers to identify additional opportunities
• Address customer concerns and coordinate with internal teams to ensure satisfaction
• Follow up on deliveries and installations to ensure customer satisfaction
• Develop long-term partnerships that drive repeat business and referrals

Market Intelligence & Reporting

• Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and market conditions
• Attend trade shows, industry events, and networking functions
• Provide market feedback to management regarding customer needs and competitive activities
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status in CRM system
• Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review

Required QualificationsExperience & Background

• Minimum 3-5 years of sales experience in the truck body industry (Required)
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
• Experience selling to commercial fleets, contractors, or similar B2B customers
• Knowledge of truck body applications, configurations, and installation processes
• Understanding of commercial vehicle regulations and compliance requirements

Skills & Competencies

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent presentation and negotiation abilities
• Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing to team objectives
• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Ability to travel within assigned territory (up to 50% travel may be required)

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred
• Industry certifications or technical training in commercial vehicles a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Existing relationships within the commercial vehicle or construction industries
• Experience with fleet management or commercial vehicle operations
• Knowledge of financing options and lease programs for commercial equipment
• Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish) depending on market demographics

Compensation & Benefits & Base Compensation

• Base Salary: $80,000-$120,000 annually
• Commission Structure: Uncapped commission potential based on sales performance
• Total Earning Potential: $180,000 - $400,000+ annually for top performers
