Retail Service Specialist-1

Compensation Pay Range: $16.00 – $22.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance bonuses or premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers. Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, ensuring team members execute customer service programs such as Related Sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, and Rock the Lot. Ensure telephone calls are answered according to company policy. Process buy‑online/ship‑to‑store, hub‑and‑store transfers, and DC add orders, and contact customers upon shipment arrivals as needed. Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently, following procedure and using the electronic outside purchase order ledger. Process retail customer returns and exchanges accurately, issue refunds with correct payment methods, and stage returned merchandise appropriately. Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before products leave the store. Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned. Monitor team adherence to posted work schedules, approve changes, and ensure clock‑in/out compliance with company policy. Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day‑end procedures, escrow and deposit verification, bank deposit preparation, securing lights and doors, arming/disarming security alarms, and securing delivery vehicles. Perform all other duties as assigned. SKILLS / EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / ABILITIES Strong communication skills. Ability to obtain RSS Certification. Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts. Automotive systems and repair knowledge. ASE Certification. Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
