Responsibilities

The Fair Futures Coach is a full-time position that provides support and resources to help youth who have had experiences with the justice system, make progress towards their academic, career development, housing/independent living, and other life goals. The Fair Futures Coach will report directly to the Fair Futures Coach Supervisor.

The Fair Futures Coach Will Be Responsible For

• Provide ongoing social and emotional support by building trusting, consistent relationships with up to 18 youth, while continuously assessing safety, responding to crises, and supporting overall youth well-being.
• Facilitate both individual and group sessions focused on life skills development, college preparation, and leadership development.
• Engage youth in individualized goal setting related to academic achievement, career exploration, and housing stability.
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders to connect youth with appropriate resources and supports.
• Support youth in preparing for transition out of foster care by linking them to community-based services and identifying best-fit educational, employment, and independent living opportunities.
• Provide ongoing support to discharged youth up to age 26, ensuring continuity of care and connection to resources.
• Participate actively in individual and group supervision, staff meetings, and trainings to support professional development, skill enhancement, and team cohesion.

Organizational Expectations Include

• Maintain regular and punctual attendance in accordance with The Foundling’s and departmental time and attendance policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Required Educational Level

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Demonstrated strong commitment to safety in all aspects of service delivery.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in child welfare, social services, or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment while meeting deadlines and effectively prioritizing multiple tasks.
• Experience working with diverse populations using a strengths-based, trauma-informed, and youth development framework.
• Ability to receive, integrate, and apply feedback to support professional growth and adapt to evolving programmatic needs and changes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability and willingness to travel to meet youth in their homes, in the community, and other designated locations as required.

$53,920.50 + ($3,800 Education Additive + 3,500 Bilingual Additive)
