Supervisory Government Information Specialist – Office of the Secretary, Department of Commerce. Qualification Requirements Qualification requirements in this vacancy are based on the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards Handbook, which is available at Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the next lower grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is defined as experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies, knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. This experience may be gained in paid or unpaid work, including volunteer service through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other professional, philanthropic, religious, community, student, or social organizations. All qualifying experience, including volunteer experience, is creditable. This position is being filled under the Department of Commerce Alternative Personnel System (CAPS). Under CAPS, positions are classified by career path and pay band. The ZA-5 is equivalent to the GS-15 grade level. Supervisors may be eligible for supervisory performance pay that can increase salaries up to six percent higher than the maximum rate of their pay band, depending on performance rating and geographic location. To Qualify at the ZA-5 Level Specialized Experience: One full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the ZA-4 or GS-14 in the federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: Leading enterprise FOIA and Privacy Act compliance programs, providing executive oversight for information governance, transparency, and regulatory compliance across the organization; Developing, implementing, and evaluating policies, programs, and controls to ensure compliance with applicable privacy, security, and information governance requirements; Directing program operations through subordinate supervisors, including planning, design, workforce management, and budget formulation and execution; Leading enterprise-wide initiatives in privacy, risk management, and compliance, resolving complex operational issues impacting agency-wide programs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
