PROJECT COORDINATOR

Southern California-based General Contractor currently seeking a Construction Project Coordinator for a position at their office headquarters in Temecula, CA. This role will support commercial projects and is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in construction project management.

The Project Coordinator will work closely with Project Team Members, to include but not limited to Superintendents, General Superintendents, Project Managers, Project Accountants, Senior Project Executives, and other assignees to support multiple Projects through all phases of construction, from pre-construction through project closeout. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining strong communication with the Project Team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily Project operations.
• Support pre-construction efforts including take-offs, estimates, and document review.
• Prepare, track, and manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Maintain and organize project documentation, logs, and files.
• Secure proposals from and schedule temporary facility vendors.
• Draft and distribute Subcontracts/Commitments.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely execution of work.
• Track project progress and help ensure work is completed on time and within budget.
• Attend project meetings and take detailed notes for internal and external distribution.
• Help ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and all applicable codes.
• Coordinate and track subcontractor compliance requirements.
• Assist with procurement of materials and subcontractor buyout.
• Support project closeout, including punch lists, final documentation, and turnover packages.
• Additional responsibilities as required.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of construction experience (internship experience counts).
• Basic understanding of construction processes, drawings, and specifications.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work full time in office at Temecula, CA headquarters.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with construction management software such as Procore is a plus.
• Eagerness to learn and grow within a fast-paced construction environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience on commercial construction projects (multi-family, retail, restaurant, etc.).
• Exposure to ground-up construction.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Project or scheduling tools.

Compensation dependent upon experience ($30/hr - $40/hr+)
