Medical Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM). Weekend coverage required every other weekend, with a minimum of 6 weekend shifts per contract.

The Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality care to critically ill patients while efficiently managing advanced medical technologies. The nurse will perform vital assessments, monitor patient conditions, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs and lab results.
• Provide advanced nursing care for patients with severe, multifaceted health issues.
• Administer medications and manage IV protocols, including TPN and continuous IV sedation.
• Perform invasive procedures as necessary, including central line and arterial line management.
• Assist with chest tube insertion and removal.
• Utilize specialized equipment like ventilators and telemetry systems.
• Implement infection prevention measures and maintain strict adherence to safety protocols.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting.
• Current RN licensure required.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Epic charting system required.
