Job Description About the Role As a Warehouse Clerk, you will be an integral part of our warehouse team, responsible for performing various administrative and clerical tasks to support efficient warehouse operations. Your role will involve tasks such as data entry, record-keeping, inventory management, and assisting with shipping and receiving processes. Attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role. Accurately input and update data in warehouse management systems or spreadsheets, including receiving, shipping, and inventory transactions. Maintain organized records of inventory levels, shipments, and other warehouse activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Assist with cycle counting, stock replenishment, and inventory reconciliation to ensure accurate inventory levels and minimize discrepancies. Prepare and process orders for shipment, including picking, packing, labeling, and staging items for delivery or pickup. Assist with loading and unloading shipments, verifying contents against packing slips or purchase orders, and inspecting goods for damage or defects. Prepare shipping documents, such as bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels, ensuring compliance with shipping regulations and customer requirements. Communicate effectively with warehouse team members, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate workflow, resolve issues, and provide updates on order status or inventory levels. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including shelving, storage bins, and shipping/receiving areas, to ensure a safe and efficient working environment. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials and compliance with OSHA guidelines. Assist with special projects or tasks as assigned by warehouse supervisors or management to support overall warehouse objectives and initiatives. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred but not required. Proficiency in basic computer skills, including data entry and Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook). Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing clerical tasks and maintaining records. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with coworkers and external contacts. Physical ability to lift and move boxes and packages, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks as needed. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory control software. Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification. Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures, including familiarity with carrier regulations and shipping documentation.
