Position SummaryA freight broker serves as amiddleman between companies that need to ship goods and the carriers that transport those goods. Here are some of their main responsibilitiesEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesConnecting Shippers and Carriers: They find and commission carriers to transport goods for shippers.Negotiating Rates: They negotiate shipping rates and prepare quotes.Tracking Shipments: They monitor the progress of shipments and provide updates to the shippers.Managing Paperwork: They handle necessary shipping documents like the bill of lading.Resolving Issues: They manage and resolve any problems that arise during the transportation process.QualificationsFreight SalesLong termContant grows of their book of businessGo getterGood motivationsIntegrity1 Year of experience with freight and a book of business
