Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A closed-door pharmacy in Topeka, KS is seeking a Pharmacist for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This position offers the chance to work in a focused long-term care (LTC) pharmacy environment, supporting a critical healthcare niche with a dedicated team.
Location: Topeka, KS (closed-door pharmacy)
Job Type: Contract to Hire (13 weeks)
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- Saturday rotation
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify and check stat medications, Ekits, and blister pack medications accurately
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow and compliance
- Verify and check intravenous (IV) preparations
- Maintain efficiency and meet production goals within the LTC pharmacy setting
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Kansas pharmacist license in hand
- Prior experience in a long-term care pharmacy strongly preferred
- Clear understanding of LTC workflow, pace, and regulatory requirements
- Candidates from retail pharmacy backgrounds with a positive attitude and ability to maintain production pace are encouraged to apply and will receive training
