Senior Application Developer - Java & .NET

Salary: $175,000 - 220,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of work experience, training, military service, or education.
• We require at least 9 years of information technology, technical application development, or similar experience.
• We require 7+ years of hands-on experience building and supporting enterprise applications with C#/.NET technologies, along with hands-on Java development experience.
• We need strong expertise in C#, Java, .NET Framework/.NET Core, ASP.NET MVC and web applications, RESTful APIs, backend service development, and object-oriented design principles and patterns.
• We require advanced experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including T-SQL development, stored procedures, query optimization, database troubleshooting, and data analysis/reporting support.
• We require experience supporting Fixed Income and Securitized Products technology platforms.
• We require functional knowledge of Fixed Income products and structured finance instruments, including MBS, ABS, CMBS, CMO, agency and non-agency securities, and pass-through or structured products.
• We require understanding of trade lifecycle management, Fixed Income trading workflows, Securitized Products trading and operations, pricing and valuation concepts, positions and inventory management, market data integration, reporting and regulatory processes, cashflow generation and payment structures, pool and loan-level characteristics, principal and interest distributions, repayment, amortization, factor-based securities concepts, and trade settlement and lifecycle events.
• We require proven ability to work with traders, sales teams, operations, business analysts, and product owners to interpret requirements, analyze issues, and deliver technology solutions.
• We require a functional understanding of how MBS, ABS, CMBS, and related securitized instruments are originated, traded, priced, settled, serviced, and reported across front-office, middle-office, and operational workflows.
• We prefer an established work history or an equivalent combination of work experience, training, military service, or education.
• We prefer prior experience supporting Capital Markets, Fixed Income, or Securitized Products trading businesses within an investment banking environment.
• We prefer experience supporting front-office and middle-office trading platforms.
• We prefer familiarity with Bloomberg, market data feeds, security master platforms, and trade processing ecosystems.

• We act as a senior hands-on C#/.NET developer supporting multiple business-critical applications and services.
• We design, develop, enhance, and maintain ASP.NET applications, APIs, backend services, and SQL Server-based solutions.
• We provide advanced application support, resolve production issues, perform root cause analysis, and strengthen platform stability.
• We partner with Fixed Income and Securitized Products business users, operations teams, and technology stakeholders to convert business needs into reliable technical solutions.
• We support and improve platforms used for trade processing, positions management, pricing, market data integration, reporting, and regulatory workflows.
• We build scalable, high-performance solutions while protecting data integrity, operational resilience, and maintainability.
• We develop and fine-tune SQL Server components, including T-SQL, stored procedures, query performance tuning, data analysis, and troubleshooting.
• We lead troubleshooting across application, database, integration, and performance issues.
• We contribute to system modernization, technical debt reduction, automation, and continuous improvement efforts.
• We estimate development effort, identify technical risks, and support project planning and delivery commitments.
• We mentor junior and mid-level developers while encouraging engineering best practices, code quality, and knowledge sharing.
• We collaborate closely with architects, product owners, support teams, and business stakeholders to deliver successfully and maintain operational excellence.
• We keep a strong focus on data accuracy, controls, performance optimization, and operational efficiency.
