CFO

CFO System One is partnering with a manufacturing client to identify a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This executive leadership role is responsible for overseeing the company's Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, IT, and Administrative functions while serving as a key member of the management team. Key Responsibilities Lead all accounting and finance operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, general ledger, fixed assets, and internal controls. Prepare and oversee monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Manage banking relationships, daily cash reporting, treasury activities, merchant services, and PCI compliance. Oversee annual financial audits, tax reporting, property tax filings, workers' compensation, OSHA reporting, and regulatory compliance. Administer commercial insurance programs, including renewals, claims, and workers' compensation. Provide oversight of Human Resources, including employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, handbook maintenance, performance management, job descriptions, and partnership with Paychex HR. Oversee IT operations by coordinating with external consultants, managing hardware/software upgrades, and supporting company technology needs. Supervise the Accounting team, Administrative/Reception staff, and Housekeeping personnel. Partner with executive leadership to drive strategic planning, operational improvements, and company-wide processes. Qualifications Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required. Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience, including CFO-level responsibilities. Strong experience in financial reporting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, audits, cash management, commercial insurance, internal controls, and GAAP. Prior Human Resources leadership experience required. Experience managing IT functions and vendor relationships. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and standard business software. Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and team management skills with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
