About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardio Thoracic ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in CVICU/CTICU; travel experience preferred. License: Active RN license in hand at the time of submission; no exceptions. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (American Heart Association only). Must-Have: Proficiency in Epic; strong neuro experience required. Required skills include: - Arterial line management. - Blood product administration. - Central line care/management. - PICC line management. - Starting IVs. - Continuous IV sedation. - Procedural sedation administration. - Titrating cardiac drips. - Titrating vasoactive drips. - Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. - Multi-system organ failure. - Care of ventilated patients, including management of BiPAP and CPAP. - Post cardiac surgery care. - CVVHD/CRRT management. - Infection prevention and isolation precautions. Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for Cardio Thoracic ICU. This position involves caring for step-down patients due to the universal bed model. The schedule includes working three 12-hour shifts or four 12-hour shifts. Floating and working holidays is required. The typical patient ratio is 1:1-2. Candidates must have experience managing various cardiac conditions and associated procedures. Strong experience in neuro patients, particularly post-brain surgery, is required. Candidates should be able to manage and interpret complex clinical situations. Compliance with infection control measures and proper wound care is essential.
